Gutenberg is really happening and progressing nicely in the upcoming WP update (Nov. 1 2022 as of this writing).
WordPress 6.1 will be the third major update this year.
They are working on it.
I have done all my new sites with Gutenberg and the new full-site editing block themes. Really fun. You can do so much more with this evolving system. Not quite there yet, but the ability to add blocks. To save them in order to use them page-wide or site-wide is really amazing. Time saver.
Well, it’s here and if you have not been paying attention you probably don’t have to… a big tech thing just happened on your website.
For those of you that do, my kindred souls, you need to make a decision. Do you want to use Gutenberg or not?
Some of you cannot use it on some pages = pages that contain paypal buttons or any other tricky thing we may have done to make some web magic happen. Those pages need to say the same! So if you mistakenly open one, just don’t save it. Just get out of there. When it says changes will be lost, say fine. If you do happen to mess it up, it will still be in there in the history (WordPress saves changes…) and we can restore it. Let me know.
Okay, sorry about the creepy tech post. I wanted to test out the new Gutenberg editor. If you can read this, it works.
We made marketing automation free to give small businesses the tools they need to compete with larger brands at no extra cost. Why we made automations free.
I created i-C web to help small businesses and individuals upgrade to “responsive” websites: Websites that are mobile-friendly and display well on all devices.
This is getting more and more critical, especially for business. iPads, tablets, and mobile phones are gaining on traditional computers for web browsing and these devices are becoming the norm, not the exception. So much so that search engine giant Google has decided to rank mobile-friendly websites higher in its search results.
